L Catterton Real Estate teamed up with Mori Building and Sumitomo Corporation to co-develop one of the most prime sites in Japan, located in Ginza on Chuo Dori. The project, completed in January 2017, is a mixed-use retail and office development of 148,700 m² GFA. It is located on a 9,080 m² site, and is the biggest redevelopment ever in Ginza. With the world famous architects Yoshio Taniguchi as the design architect and Gwenael Nicolas for the retail common area, the building offers the opportunity for beautiful flagship stores on Chuo Dori and brings a new retail format – the luxury shopping mall – to Ginza for the first time as well as offering Class S* office space. The project also has a c. 3,900 m² park on its roof, is home to a Noh theater and offers an unparalleled and exclusive range of dining options. The shopping mall is being undertaken in partnership with Daimaru Matsuzakaya Department Stores.
